The teacher training team was taken on an outing today to Gu Zhen, the "Lighting Capital of China"... It is famous for the huge concentration of electric light fixture manufacturers. Over 300,000 people are employed in the factories here. We've never seen so many chandeliers in one place before!
We visited two museums documenting the history of lighting/lamps. We were also introduced to some local officials.
